Managing Study Space: fair space for all
12 June 2017, De Morgan House, The London Mathematical Society
Faced with large numbers of students looking for a place to study and changing styles of teaching that use more group work, libraries
need to move away from their traditional design and role and be pro-active in helping readers find study space to suit their needs. This session looks at how some libraries are making these changes.
Globalised Communities: Librarians Facing the Challenges of the HEI Landscape
The current HE landscape is ever shifting and uncertain terrain for Library professionals. How are middle and senior managers dealing with the challenging terrain? How are all levels
of library staff navigating their CPD progression as well as meeting the needs of their users in the light of post Brexit HE realities? Furthermore what can we learn from case studies of international colleagues who are facing similar and dissimilar professional
challenges but from whom we may learn useful strategies of keeping ahead of the curve?
