Hi all,

I have been looking for sources on strategies for helping undergraduate students with managing their reading workloads more effectively. I find there is lots on comprehension and general reading skills as a competency or an attribute – how ‘well’ students read (assessed using various measures & tools).

However, I am more interested in identifying what best practice there is in organising and managing the broader spread of the reading workload that students need to undertake. We seem to spend a lot of time encouraging students to better organise the results of their searches. Might we do more to help them better plan and organise their reading?

I have all the major works from the great and the good (Mizrachi, Mokhtari etc.)

Keywords like Organize; Plan; Manage with ‘Academic Reading’ etc. don’t seem to get me much that’s relevant. It may be that I have been missing the blinking obvious, but if anyone has any leads, I would be most grateful.

Thanks,

Roy
