Subject: Petition against Concordia University German program suspension

Dear colleagues,

some of you may have heard that Concordia University plans to suspend all German programming. The Concordia German Language Student Association (CGLSA) has sent out a request to sign a petition to ask the university to rethink this plan. Among many other arguments, the CGLSA’s petition points to the fact that enrolments in German content classes have increased by over 20% since 2013. I think it might be important that Concordia’s administration hears from Germanists across North America.
