The notion of assets has itsorigin in Asset Based Community  Development  (ABCD) and  isnowadays often applied as a public  health intervention tool.  Onespecial aim of this course will be discussing possible connections between theconcept of Salutogenesis  developed  by Aaron Antonovsky and theAssets model of health. The aim of the residential Summer School in Alicante isto provide an international and multidisciplinary forum for the exchange ofknowledge and skills to explore:

-People-environmentinteraction in relation to the promotion of health and wellbeing (healthpromotion)

-Internal and external resources and mechanisms that enable people toparticipate fully in society.
