Job Title: Head of the Data Science Centre Grade: Associate Professor / Professor Location: RCSI Dublin, Ireland Term of office: Permanent position We are looking for a highly motivated individual with strong leadership, management, coordination and technical skills to head our recently established Data Science Centre (DSC). The successful candidate, who will be appointed at Associate Professor or Professor level – commensurate with experience and track record – will coordinate and support the work of DSC staff members. The post-holder will also work closely with existing experienced biostatisticians and bioinformaticians, and with research investigators across RCSI who are experts in a range of research and research methods, including clinical trials, observational and mixed methods study designs. The post-holder will lead and coordinate a team whose expertise includes biostatistics, bioinformatics and research methods, and will build RCSI research capacity through consultancy, support and training. The post-holder will lead the DSC in responding to the expanding needs in RCSI for biostatistics/bioinformatics expertise and for a wide range of research methods (including mixed methods research) in existing and new research programmes; and will contribute to the design and/or delivery of taught course programmes.
