Dear all,

I am advertising for a PhD project in collaboration with Syngenta. The project is about using Syngenta's data from screening experiments to predict the performance of herbicides under different criteria.

This project will be at the interface of statistics and computer science with significant mathematical, methodological, and computational components. The student will be given privileged access to the training activities of the SAMBa CDT www.bath.ac.uk/samba

The student will receive a full 3.5 year studentship funded jointly by the University of Bath and Syngenta. The studentship will include Home/EU tuition fees, a training support fee of £1,000 per annum and a tax-free maintenance allowance of £14,553 per annum (2017/18 rate).

ONLY UK and EU applicants are eligible for the studentship; unfortunately, applicants who are classed as Overseas for fee paying purposes are NOT eligible to receive the funding.
