Busy roads can have negative effects on people's mobility, wellbeing and health, an impact known as 'community severance' or the 'barrier effect' of roads. The Street Mobility project was a 3-year interdisciplinary research project at UCL to develop tools to measure and value the barrier effect of busy roads. The project was funded by the EPSRC, ESRC, and AHRC The Street Mobility Toolkit is now available for free download from <www.ucl.ac.uk/street-mobility/toolkit> Feel free to use the tools, but please let us know if you do and what you find. Our most recent paper - how we validated the tools - is available as open access from the Journal of Transport Geography: <http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0966692316305026> You can find out more about the project from <www.ucl.ac.uk/street-mobility>, where you can read our journal publications, working papers, and conference presentations Regards Paulo Dr Paulo Rui Anciaes Research Associate Centre for Transport Studies University College London Email: p.anciaes at ucl.ac.uk Web: <https://iris.ucl.ac.uk/iris/browse/profile?upi=PRANC25>
