Furniture History, Care, Style & Techniques (with special reference to Chippendale)

In Partnership with SODAC

Monday 6th March 2017

£35 for YHFED and SODAC members

£45 for non-members

(Lunch is provided)

 

The day will cover:

AM – James Lomax on Chippendale’s Life and work, and the stylistic context. To include a look at some highlights of Temple Newsam furniture collection.

PM – Adam Bowett and Ian Fraser on Chippendale’s materials, furniture construction, care and decorative techniques. Followed by a tour of the house.
