Hello everyone. Not sure if this will get through from rural Cameroon.
But here goes. Fears of biopiracy are real so names should be redacted (
see Nagoya protocol). Having said this I am sympathetic to the position
that this is so inhib iting that it risks more than it gains.  But I am not
an ethnobotanist and it is with them you should have this discussion.
I am not an archaeologist either but I must say the very laudAble proposals
to record sites in Middle East at risk fill me with horror. The metadata is
itself dangerous. If I were a looter what would be most helpful is an
online database giving gps CoOrdinates telling me where  I should dig!
