Hi all,

The Society for Applied Microbiology’s annual Early Career Scientists (ECS) Research Symposium is being held at the University of Westminster on the 19th April 2017.

The focus of this meeting is to showcase the new talent entering the field of applied microbiology. The day will consist of several students talks and two poster presentation sessions on a large range of topics and an afternoon workshop. This years workshop theme is Bioinformatics and will look at web based tools to tackle problems pertinent to microbiologists.

If you would be like to showcase your work to an enthusiastic audience either as a poster or an oral presentation then you can submit an abstract to be selected by the committee. The deadline for abstracts is fast approaching (10th March), and all those accepted to present (Poster or talk) will have their UK travel paid for (subject to prior approval).

For more details on the event and the form to submit your abstract follow the link to the SfAM ECS website: https://member.sfam.org.uk/SfAM/Events/Event_Display.aspx?EventKey=ECS2017

If you have any questions please ask!

Best Wishes

Jennie French
ECS Committee member
