Dear all
Colleagues and their students may be interested in this new activist network I have come across:

Introducing the Subvertisers International:
Over the last year we have been working hard with friends from around the world to create a new network the Subvertisers International. This
network will launch with a global call to action at the end of March
2017. In response to this, we are collaborating with partners around the
world to coordinate an international ad takeover in multiple countries around the world.
In previous projects we have challenged the negative aspects of
capitalism, consumer culture and multi-national corporate power, now we
want to work alongside artists and our partners to imagine and create
artworks that share visions of what cities and our societies could be -
to imagine a post consumerist world at a time of environmental
destruction, Brexit, rising fascism and Donald Trump in the White House.
As creative people we have incredible creative minds, and we want to ask
you to help inspire people around the world with artwork that shows what we
could create in our cities and societies as potential solutions to the
multiple issues we face.
Our COP21 Paris project in 2015 reached a global
audience (http://www.brandalism.org.uk/press) and inspired activists and
the public to engage creatively with the issues of advertising,
consumerism and climate change.
Since then we have targeted ad and creative industry workers with our
‘Advertisers Anonymous’ project (http://www.brandalism.org.uk/
switchsides), whilst secretly developing an international network of
subvertisers in 8 countries around the world so far.
