Dear colleagues,

I’d like to draw your attention to four four-year funded studentships attached to the five year research project ‘Migrant Memory and the Post-colonial Imagination (MMPI): British Asian Memory, Identity and Community after Partition’ funded by the Leverhulme Trust led by Dr Emily Keightley. Coinciding with the 70th anniversary of the Partition of India, This project explores cultural memories of Partition in the British Asian community. The four studentships explore: the communication of Partition memory online; women and embodied memories of Partition; Partition in the British media 1947-present; Intergenerational transmission of Partition Memory.

Studentships are based in The Centre for Research in Communication and Culture, Loughborough University or in the Institute for Media and Creative Industries, Loughborough University London.
