UKeiG is taking final bookings for our one-day course on 'Practical Knowledge Management for Information Professionals' to be held at CILIP headquarters on March 30th.

Effectively managed knowledge is one of the greatest resources modern organisations possess and information professionals, with their expertise and understanding of their organisation’s working needs, are well positioned to take the lead.

Who should attend?
Do you or your colleagues need to know how to make KM techniques successful in your workplace? 'Practical Knowledge Management' is relevant to information managers who are planning or contemplating embracing KM in their organisation. The course will also be invaluable for information professionals who have identified the need for a robust understanding of KM as part of their professional development.

Through the presentation of extensive, real-life case studies and discussions you will learn how to:

*Think practically about how KM fits your role and your organisation
*Demonstrate the value of KM to senior management
*Champion articulately and with confidence the benefits of KM to your stakeholders, clients and customers
*Design and implement a KM strategy and effective development plan

UKeiG's trainer Dion Lindsay is an experienced KM practitioner, trainer and consultant, with advanced skills in running workshops. His experience covers KM in commercial, government and charity environments and he has a wealth of examples and case studies to bring to the course. Dion ran early KM experiments in the civil service, and was Knowledge Manager for the Motor Neurone Disease Association before becoming a fulltime trainer and consultant.
