We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual with experience of leading the development and delivery of academic skills in higher education to lead the work of the new Academic Skills Centre at Goldsmiths, University of London.

You will lead, motivate and direct the Academic Skills Team to ensure a proactive and responsive support service and have strategic oversight of the academic skills requirements of Goldsmiths students. You will collaborate with academic colleagues and work closely with your team and with colleagues across Goldsmiths to ensure that the work of the Academic Skills Centre adds value to the student and learner experience and has a positive impact on student retention, attainment and satisfaction. The role requires high level communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills in order to engage with colleagues at all levels and across all disciplines, as you take responsibility for the academic leadership of this area and strategically manage how academic skills and literacies are developed and delivered across the institution.

A key aspect of the role will be to support the implementation and further development of the Goldsmiths Learning, Teaching and Enhancement Strategy and to ensure that academic skills and literacies are provided through curriculum embedded models of delivery and also through enhancement models.
