Apologies for cross-posting.

We're delighted to announce that registration for GeoComputation 2017 is now open! The conference is 4th-7th September 2017, Leeds, Yorkshire, UK [with workshops on the 3rd].

Please see the site for details:
http://www.geocomputation.org/2017/conference/
http://www.geocomputation.org/2017/conference/register.html
The standard package includes the conference plus a welcome dinner on Monday 4th September and the conference dinner on Wednesday 6th September. The Early Bird cost is £300 (£200 for students); after 1st June, the full cost is £350 (£250 for students).

As exciting as the conference is going to be, we know some people will also want to travel a bit while in the UK, and may be bringing family with them during the conference, so we've put together a page of things in you might like to do while in Yorkshire and the UK, as well details of travel to Europe:
http://www.geocomputation.org/2017/conference/aroundLeeds.html
Hope this helps.

On the booking form site for the conference you can also book for the following:

Workshop:
Book for the Pre-conference workshop on Machine Learning of Environmental Data.

Conference fieldtrip:
The conference ends at mid-day on the 7th, after which we've organised a fieldtrip to the heart of the industrial revolution: Manchester! GeoCompers at Manchester University have kindly offered to host us for a half day at the Museum of Science and Industry where they have various items from the early history of computing, including a working punch-card-based loom and a working renovation/replica of the Manchester Small-Scale Experimental Machine aka "Baby", the world's first stored-program computer.

Accommodation:
See "More Info" on the booking form site for how to book accommodation on the Uni campus. This is in our "Storm Jameson" block, is reasonably priced (see booking site for conference discount code) but also pretty plush for student accommodation, and is five minutes walk from the conference. We strongly recommend booking here, but the main site also lists alternatives. Please note that we can only hold our rooms at Storm Jameson until the 1st June, after which availability may be limited.

Finally, a reminder that the deadline for papers is now 10th April 2017; details, again, on the main site.

Hope to see all you in Leeds,

Andy, Alison, Nick, and Lex,
