Dear List Members,

As part of the European Writers' Tour 2017 - a EUNIC London project in partnership with the Royal Society of Literature and the British Library - the British Library will be hosting European Literature Night on 10 May at the Library's Knowledge Centre.

Author A L Kennedy gives a keynote address reflecting on the future of European authorship in a post-Brexit context before being joined in conversation by Clemens Meyer from Germany and Francesca Melandri from Italy. Both authors have been awarded numerous literary prizes and are widely translated. List members will be aware of Clemens Meyer's most recent Im Stein (Bricks and Mortar) set in the former GDR, which has been longlisted for the Man Booker International Prize 2017.

This event launches the European Writers' Tour, which will take place across the country over the year, inviting European authors to five major British literature festivals, as well as to a range of talks and events at the British Library.

More information on the authors and on how to purchase tickets can be found here.

Kind regards,
Pardaad
