Position Title: Research Associate - GNSS Positioning and Navigation

Tenure: 2 years fixed-term, full-time (with possibility of extension based on performance and continuity of funding)

Salary Range: AUD $67,960 - $92,224 (ALA) (depending on qualifications and experience)

Location: Perth, Western Australia

Description: Curtin University is offering a Research Associate position in the area of GNSS Positioning and Navigation.

As a Research Associate, you will contribute to the Australian Research Council (ARC) funded research project titled “Trustworthy Positioning for Next Generation Intelligent Transport Systems”. You will work within a team of energetic Geomatics researchers and carry out research in GNSS positioning and navigation. You will participate in research activities including algorithm development, data collection, performance of computations, analysis of results, publication of papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference presentations.

To be successful, a postgraduate qualification is essential. A PhD in geodesy or a closely related scientific/engineering field would be looked upon favourably. Your demonstrated expertise in scientific programming in Matlab and one of Python or C languages is required. You should also have an emerging track record of self-motivated progress in academic research.

Practical knowledge of precise GNSS positioning is required and experience in Integrity Monitoring theory and application is desirable.
