I'd like to extend an invitation to a special one day geography festival.

The focus of the day will be the question "Can geography help us avert catastrophe?"

The programme for the day includes:

• 2 lectures by prominent academics outlining possible sources of catastrophe
• a panel discussion about the role of geography in the 21st century
• workshops run by "activist" organisations to provide you with the skills to affect change

We'll celebrate the end of the day with live music from a suitably political musician.

Thu 29 June - Bedales, GU32 2DG - Tickets cost £10 and include entry and a hot lunch.
