CL:AIRE has designed courses specifically to support all those managing and working with soil and C&D materials affected by asbestos, in order to facilitate compliance with the Information Instruction and Training (IIT) requirements prescribed by Regulation 10 of CAR 2012. HSE advice is:
“Every employer must make sure that anyone who is liable to disturb asbestos during their normal work, or who supervises those employees, gets the correct level of information, instruction and training so that they can work safely and competently without risk to themselves or others.” http://www.hse.gov.uk/asbestos/training.htm The three courses currently available are:
