I was using the Grade History until someone pointed out that if you use the “Needs Grading View” then next to each submission is a little box marked LATE next to those submitted after the due date.  I hadn’t seen this before.

I spotted yesterday something useful – must have missed the big Bb fanfare! It’s tied to the new unique code for submission as a receipt. Go Grade Centre and click Reports button, then Student Receipts, then enter a common string to show the lot. Scrape to put in Excel.

Or, view Grade History and  download History and filter/sort in Excel.

And we have a cunning plan to engage Bb Consulting and have a dynamic feed of late submitting students to punt into our student records system, SITS…….

Subject: Report from Grade Centre

Hello All,

I am wondering if with the big buzz of online marking and submissions anyone has cracked Blackboard’s Grade Centre in such way that it would provide you with a report which flags individual late submission for each assessment (Turnitin or any Blackboard native assessment) in one place.

Perhaps maybe there is some Building block that assists you in this?

We can think of few ways of doing this but all of them a clunky and definitely don’t produce a single document.

Many thanks for your help on such a sunny day J!

Best wishes,

Yanna
