2.3 Last call for OER17: The Politics of Open, Resource for London, 5 - 6 April 2017

OER17 is an opportunity for open practitioners, activists, educators and policy makers to come together as a community to reflect on The Politics of Open and to discuss challenges and strengths, priorities, and changes we want to effect. The conference will be chaired by Josie Fraser, social and educational technologist and Wikimedia UK Trustee, and Alek Tarkowski, Director of Centrum Cyfrowe, co-founder and coordinator of Creative Commons Poland.

2.7 Call for Ideas: Celtic Knot - Wikipedia Language Conference, Edinburgh, 5 - 6 July 2017

The event will focus on Celtic and Indigenous Languages, showcasing innovative approaches to open education, open knowledge and open data that support and grow language communities. Suggested ideas and session proposals should be no longer than 100 words.

2.8 Invitation to tender: A web-based information toolkit for research leaders

The Leadership Foundation (LF) are looking for an individual or team with the necessary technical skills to develop a web-based information Impact Toolkit for university research leaders.

This digitisation-project will transform the document-based Research Leader’s Impact Toolkit into a product that illustrates the content, provides logical and fluid navigation, and supports an effective and efficient user experience.

2.9 Reminder: Research and Innovation in Distance Education and E-learning Conference 2017 Learning and Teaching in a Digital Age, London, 24 March 2017

This one-day event explores new directions and developments in distance education and technology-enhanced learning. It has a strong research focus and incorporates outputs from the CDE’s programme of Teaching and Research Awards. The programme features seminars, workshops and showcases around three themes: Open Educational Resources, Massive Open Online Courses, and Innovation. Keynote speakers are Professor Anne Boyer, University of Lorraine, Nancy, and Simon Nelson, CEO, Futurelearn.

2.10 Call for Papers: 15th Academic Practice and Technology (APT) 2017, Greenwich, 4 July 2017

This conference, co-hosted by the University of Greenwich and London School of Economics (LSE), has the theme ‘The future ain't what it used to be: inventing and re-imagining higher education practice’.
