Data Scientist, Digital Analytics, Lloyd Banking Group | London

Lloyds Banking Group is the UK’s leading digital bank and biggest mobile bank with over 11 million active online customers across our three main brands.

We’ve placed Digital banking at the heart of our strategy to become the best bank for customers, backed with an investment of £1bn in Digital Transformation.

Our culture in Group Digital brings together smart, talented, people from diverse backgrounds that enjoy a collaborative and innovative environment supporting flexible and agile working.

In joining our Digital Analytics team as a Data Scientist you’ll be in a role that matters – helping us achieve our Digital Banking objectives through your knowledge of advanced data analytics and working within a group of talented pathfinders and trailblazers – shaping the future of the bank in cutting edge areas such as machine learning, neural networks and artificial intelligence.

You’d be applying advanced data science methods to key business problems and opportunities, developing and implementing models and rapid prototypes from big data sets and then going on to produce algorithms, rules and visualisations that feed the services which benefit and protect our customers.

We’d build on your background in data science, data engineering or computer science and further develop you in a set of highly sought-after, transferable, skills, whilst rotating you periodically across the breadth of teams and functions that makes up Group Digital.

We’ll be looking for you to have already had some experience in a similar environment – developing models, rules and algorithms from structured and unstructured sources and using your knowledge in areas such as pattern recognition, streaming architecture, streaming analytics and non-traditional architectures to feed into development programmes.
