Computational Cognitive Affective Neuroscience Laboratory
<https://cocoanlab.github.io> (director: Dr. Choong-Wan Woo) is seeking a
postdoctoral fellow beginning March 2017 (but specific start date can be
flexible).

We investigate how the brain represents, processes, and regulates pain and
emotions. Particularly, our research focuses on the development of
clinically useful neuroimaging biomarkers and tools using machine learning
and computational modeling approaches.

Our lab is a part of the Center for Neuroscience Imaging Research (CNIR)
<http://cnir.ibs.re.kr/html/cnir_en/> at Institute for Basic Science (IBS)
<https://www.ibs.re.kr/eng.do>, which is a government-funded research
institute (meaning we have a stable funding). Our lab has a full access to
the CNIR’s brand-new neuroimaging facilities and equipments
<http://cnir.ibs.re.kr/_prog/equipments/?&site_dvs_cd=cnir_en&menu_dvs_cd=050101>
for conducting cutting-edge research. The facilities include animal and
human MRIs (3T, 9.4T, 15.2T) and optical imaging tools, high performance
computing clusters, electronic and machine shop. etc. We also have
facilities for rodents and non-human primates, meaning we will be able to
do some cross-species brain mapping.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience
(comparable to NIH).

If you're interested in our lab, please visit our lab website:
http://cocoanlab.github.io, and take a detailed look at our job ad
<https://cocoanlab.github.io/jobs/#postdoc> to know the job requirements
and benefits. If you'd like to apply, please email Dr. Choong-Wan Woo (
[log in to unmask]) with your CV and brief statement explaining your
research interests as well as specific interests in joining our lab.

Thanks!!
Wani (Choong-Wan)
