The ABSW Science Writers’ Awards for Britain and Ireland supported by Johnson & Johnson Innovation are open for entry for one more week (until midnight Friday 24 February 2017).
The full list of categories for 2017 is as follows:
- Best news item - now open to broadcasters
- Best feature
- The Royal Society Radio Prize for best scripted/edited radio programme or podcast. Supported by The Royal Society
- Best scripted/edited TV programme or online video
- The Dr Katharine Giles science blog award supported by the Dr Katharine Giles Fund
- The NUJ Stephen White Award for best communication and reporting of science in a non science context.
- Best investigative journalism
- Best newcomer
- Best student science journalist - new award
