Thanks again Ken for the share. I've been reading it for a while now and it's very, very interesting. I think it teases out some of the important issues re: student plagiarism and it's important that we hear from those running essay mills about their experiences, even though they're part of the problem. I think their answers were pretty honest and something we need to think about.

Wow, Ken, thanks for posting this an absolute treasure trove! Don't have time to read it through yet but already noticed some interested threads, particularly related to my research. Obviously need to take it at face value but it would certainly be interesting to do a thematic analysis of this and essayscam.org to see the themes by which the writers and students justify their actions.

Just one interesting nugget I found which gives me some hope:

What tips would you give to someone who wants to write their own papers? I always do pretty well but struggle to get started and usually take 5 times longer than I think it should.

Use citation management software (Endnote, Mendeley, etc.). Read it out loud. Just start writing. Don't let yourself stop. Do not let yourself erase or delete words. Just kind of barf it all out on paper, then revise. If your uni has a writing center, make an appointment and have someone look it over. If your professor is willing, have them offer feedback on a draft!
