Design has many futures. One of the next innovation wave will be from women in Design. We need them to innovate. Innovations from traditional-male-white designer ONLY is no longer working for the new times ahead and also is not wanted or needed anymore as it was in the past. Sadly, it seems to be that the Umea´s PHD in design and gender, was cancelled because of lack of candidates or any other reason? The world needs more women in design and engineering, and it´s happening. That´s fantastic. Designers, in theory, have an innovative mindset? Right? How on Earth they can be gender biased on any personal or professional situation? To my fellow designers: --Can conservative, narrow minded designers be good innovators?
