There are only 10 more places available at the WIRP Workshop: initiating and maintaining international contacts
on Wednesday 1 March at The British Library in London. This half-day workshop is a unique opportunity to learn from the recent experience of the WIRP International Travel Grant recipients. Many of these museum staff travelled with very little time and
money, and were able to establish new contacts and a create a positive impact on the work of their organisations.
Speakers include staff from Craven Museum, People’s History Museum, Royal Cornwall Museums, Beamish Museum, Bristol Museums Galleries & Archives, Horniman Museum & Gardens, and Manchester Metropolitan University Special Collections.
The countries they travelled to include Germany, Denmark, Mexico, Australia, Jamaica, Nigeria and China and covered a variety of projects; from young people’s learning programmes and peer business development, to commissioning new art works and developing
UK partnerships to work internationally.
There will also be plenty of opportunity for networking with speakers and delegates, and a facilitated session to develop practical ideas for initiating and maintaining international contacts.
