Short answers:
1 – Yes (there is a patient information group)
2 – no idea, I think most leaflets were produced by an external supplier but we became a single trust yesterday after joining up with Birmingham Children’s and I don’t know if our sister hospital has its own
medical illustration/reprographics department or if it outsources.

Subject: Patient Information leaflets
Hi all,
A couple of questions for anyone who is involved in the production of patient information leaflets – any response no matter how brief would be very much appreciated!
1.
Do you have an organisation-wide group that oversees patient info leaflets or is it done on a departmental basis? If your organisation does have a specific group, where does this group sit – within governance / patient experience?
2.
Does your organisation purchase any accessibility software or service (e.g. easy read, board maker), that is used in the production of accessible patient information?
Thank you in advance!
