Good Morning,

I am newly in post with Boingboing, co-located with Blackpool's Headstart programme.

I was wondering if this group was still running, and if I could have a chat with someone about how appropriate it would be for me to attend.

Best Wishes,

Laura.

Not sure if these people are still going and/or it would be any good to get involved, but do you want to check it out to see if BB should get involved and you go to anything? Might be too academic for our purposes. But thought I'd flag it up

Invitation to join Equal North: Research and Practice Network

We are writing to invite you to join the Equal North: Research and Practice Network. The aim of the Equal North network is to build a community of academics, researchers and practitioners across the north of England who share a common interest in health and social inequalities.

The network will be managed by Fuse – Centre for Translational Research in Public Health in the North East but the core network team also includes members from LiLaC - Lancaster and Liverpool Universities Collaboration for Public Health Research (North West) and ScHARR - School of Health and Related Research (Yorkshire and Humberside). We encourage network membership from across the north of England to ensure all regions are represented.

As a member of Equal North you will receive information on keys events taking place during 2016/17:

North of England Health Inequalities Conference, University of Hull, 11th – 12th October 2016

Equal North: how can we reduce health inequalities in the North? (Fuse Quarterly Research Meeting) University of Durham, 12th January 2017

Equal North Network Meeting – North West Location TBC, March 2017

An online directory of names and contact details of network members will be produced to aid networking and collaboration. We will also be asking members of the network to be involved in research activities to scope for consensus on priority issues to support reducing health inequalities in the North and inequality differences between the North and South.

To join Equal North please complete the registration form at: http://forms.ncl.ac.uk/view.php?id=10481

Please feel free to forward this email on and encourage others to register.
