Access All Areas is a theatre company that works with adults with learning disabilities. With the support of Hackney Museum and other partners the company has developed an accessible exhibition exploring the history of institutionalisation of people with learning disabilities. Join them during Museums and Wellbeing week for a workshop with Access All Areas to explore their working processes; the use of drama and media in heritage learning; and in making history accessible to people with learning disabilities. In addition hear from Access All Areas members and Hackney Museum staff about how they worked collaboratively to develop the exhibition and accompanying programme and from the National Alliance for Museums, Health and Wellbeing who will be talking about how people can be involved with exciting developments which will support museums with their health and wellbeing work. Tickets are free. Please follow this link for further information.
