The Center for Neuromodulation in Depression and Stress (CNDS) is seeking a research coordinator to work full-time on research studies focused on the neuroscience of depression and post-traumatic stress. The research coordinator will work closely with the principal investigator as well as other collaborating investigators and CNDS staff in carrying out CNDS research. S/he will be trained to conduct human neuroimaging research with a number of tools, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and psychophysiology tools such as electromyography and electrocardiography. S/he will also be trained to administer clinical scales with psychiatric patients. Primary responsibilities include collecting, maintaining, and organizing all questionnaires, assessments, demographic data, and imaging data of the participants. Additionally the coordinator will recruit, screen and enroll potential study patients as specified per protocol, and the coordinator will also perform regulatory duties by assisting in the preparation and submission of regulatory documents through the IRB (initial submissions, amendments, continuations). The research coordinator should be interested in and capable of developing skills across a number of research methodologies, neuroimaging softwares, and data analysis tools. Position is contingent on continued funding.

A Bachelor's Degree and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Strong quantitative analytical skills and data management skills are beneficial. Other requirements include: excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; effective problem solving abilities; ability to multi-task; demonstrated ability to work as part of a team as well as independently. Prior experience working with MRI and/or TMS desirable, but not required. Previous experience administering clinical scales is also desirable. The ideal candidate has some statistical knowledge and experience in data analysis, preferably knows Matlab or a similar language, and has experience with neuroimaging analysis using FSL, SPM or equivalent. Ultimately, the coordinator must be well-suited for work in a fast-paced work environment that requires effective time management and a willingness to work independently. This is an excellent place to get research experience to prepare for medical school or graduate school in psychology, neuroscience, engineering, or biostatistics.
