Open PostDoc position: "Modeling of brain aging in relation to genetics and environmental factors" Connectivity group, Institute of Neuroscience and Medicine (INM-1), Research Centre Jülich (Germany) Understanding the variability of brain structure, function and connectivity in the aging brain in relation to environmental and genetic factors becomes utterly important as a basis for delimiting processes involved in ‘normal’ aging from those associated with neurodegenerative diseases. Large sample sizes are needed to assess such effects. The multimodal and multilevel data from such large samples pose a particular challenge for the statistical analysis in order to capture the linear and non-linear aging trajectories in relation to a multitude of influencing factors. We are looking for a motivated colleague interested and experienced in the field of in-vivo neuroimaging analyses in large samples in relation to genetic and phenotypic data. The candidate will work at the interface of neuroscience, high-performance computing and in close collaboration with colleagues from genomic imaging.
