To mark the tenth anniversary of *Evidence & Policy*, the journal launched
an annual prize which recognises outstanding early career contributors to
the journal, created in memory of Professor Carol Weiss, the first North
American Editor of *Evidence & Policy*. It was awarded for the first time
in 2016 to Dr William Allen for his paper: Factors that impact how civil
society intermediaries perceive evidence
