I am sorry if I have , on occasion in the past , posted Job adverts on this forum without seeking your permission first. They were not even for places I worked for!! I did it because after consecutive waves of cuts , I saw so few
adverts that came up, that when one did , I shared it to help colleagues.
You know that I use this forum in a variety of ways, not just for my own benefit, I'll ask you when my next add come up.
I am now managing ESOL & Wellbeing for a london council and have had real problems recruiting ESOL staff. A sentiment shared by some of my colleagues in management. One of the agenda items in the last natecla london esol managers
meeting was ' where are all the esol teachers?'
So as well as agreeing with previous posts regarding job / volunteer adverts reflecting the sector , I also feel that managers and colleagues are increasingly using this forum out of desperation to recruit staff
A manager colleague of mine had 1 applicant to an advert she put....
finally with BrexSHIT and the uncertain future of ESOL funding, my feeling is that some of our colleagues might be leaving the sector (or the country even!)
