I am currently doing some work on the resourcing of PhD employability provision here at Leicester.

A part of this I am just trying to establish what employability provision there is, in colleague institutions, for PhD researchers.

I hope you don’t mind my asking, I am just trying to get a picture of what colleagues are doing at your institutions.

Specifically I wondered:

1. If there is specialist provision, and if so: a. how many FTEs; and b. at what grade?

2. Does it include: a. 1-1 consultations; b. skills workshops; c. speaker events; d. careers fairs?

3. How many PhDs there are at your institution?

4. Is there an opportunity for PhDs to do internships, and if so how are these provided/managed?

5. Is there an opportunity for PhDs to have enterprise skills training, and if so: a. how is this provided/managed; b. by whom?
