The Department of Political Science at the University of Amsterdam wishes
to make a tenure-track or tenured appointment in political theory. The area
of specialisation is open, but there are teaching needs in one or more of
political economy, gender studies, normative theory, and comparative
political theory. The tenure-track is only three years, and can be waived
for suitable candidates, so this job would also suit someone several years
out of a PhD programme. Philosophers and scholars from other cognate
disciplines are encouraged to apply. The Department is large and pluralist
in orientation, and is regularly ranked as one of the best in Europe. The
political theory group is lively and growing.

Applications should comprise a letter of motivation and a full CV,
including a list of publications. These should be sent electronically in
one document, preferably as a pdf-file to [log in to unmask]

Please state vacancy number 17-056 as subject. Please do not send us
additional documentation at this stage. The deadline for applications is 20
March 2017.
