We would envisage sticking them on to the existing ID badge, and through POCT data management software use this unique identifier on several systems. However, just using them on one system fairly infrequently in the past has resulted in replacements being required very soon after, they are just not durable enough. Obviously with us now rolling out to glucose meter use, it will be used in a far greater number of staff at greater frequency, and we would like to get the best quality (that NHS can afford!). There must be better made barcodes that do not require me to use a roll of sellotape to increase durability (!)

Thank you, Elaine

What are you looking for… staff badges or some other physical token?

What else will the identification be used for?

Dear all,

We are looking to procure barcodes for using as operator IDs on connected glucose meters. However, in the past we have had issues with barcodes being very fragile and scraping off badges within a month or two. Does anyone have any recommendations as to manufacturers/suppliers?
