I wrote to announce the publication of the first 2017 issue of JASSS. This issue is special as it includes the first part of a special section that aims to honour the memory of Rosaria Conte, one of the foundational members of our community, who sadly passed away on 4th July 2016. We published a philosophy of science article by Klaus G. Troitzsch and a review on pros and cons of ABMs in macroeconomics by Giorgio Fagiolo & Andrea Roventini. We will continue to honour Rosaria with other invited articles by leading scholars in social simulation in the next issue.
The
Journal of Artificial Societies and Social Simulation published issue 1 of Volume 20 on 31-Jan-2017.
The issue includes the first part of two special issues. The first is a collection of invited articles that aim to honour the memory of Rosaria Conte, one of the foundational members of our community, who sadly passed away on 4th July 2016. Other invited articles will be published in the next journal issue. Edited by Tim Verwaart and Pedro Campos, the second one is a selection of articles originally presented at the Artificial Economics Conference 2015. A second group of articles will be published in the next journal issue.
JASSS is an electronic, refereed journal devoted to the exploration and understanding of social processes by means of computer simulation. It is freely available, with no subscription.
Editing and publishing costs are partly covered by author voluntary donations. If you are an institution and want to donate to JASSS, please contact us at a href="
