Hello

I was wondering if anyone on the list could help to shed some light on the embroidery in the attached image.

It depicts a soldier (or maybe a member of the Home Guard?) and I would presume that it is 2nd World War in date.

I’m puzzled by the wording “one of the die-hards” and the number 6210179 – I’m assuming the number is a service / regimental number?

I’m assuming it might be very difficult, if not impossible, to trace who this number was allocated to, if I don’t know any other details?

Thanks

Adam
