Dear All,
Members of this list may be interested in the latest news from Jisc’s
Research Data Discovery Service project, but this email should be of particular interest to UK Higher Education Institutions and Data Centres.
Jisc’s Research Data Discovery Service project is currently in its
third phase of work. In the previous phase, 9 universities and 6 data centres participated as pilots in the project to help identify the requirements for a discovery service, have their
research data collection’s metadata harvested and test an
alpha version of the system. In the current phase of the project the plan is to incorporate metadata from other UK institutions that have a research data collection and a harvestable endpoint. If you are interested in having your metadata harvested into
this test service, so that it can be more discoverable, please contact me off list.
For more information about this latest phase of the project and how to get involved, please read the following
blog post. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Christopher
