Dear All, Members of this list may be interested in the latest news from Jisc's Research Data Discovery Service project<https://www.jisc.ac.uk/rd/projects/uk-research-data-discovery>, but this email should be of particular interest to UK Higher Education Institutions and Data Centres. Jisc's Research Data Discovery Service project is currently in its third phase<https://rdds.jiscinvolve.org/wp/2016/11/25/ukrdds-phase-3/> of work. In the previous phase, 9 universities and 6 data centres participated as pilots in the project to help identify the requirements for a discovery service, have their research data collection's metadata harvested and test an alpha version<http://ckan.data.alpha.jisc.ac.uk/> of the system. In the current phase of the project the plan is to incorporate metadata from other UK institutions that have a research data collection and a harvestable endpoint. If you are interested in having your metadata harvested into this test service, so that it can be more discoverable, please contact me off list.
