Yes, we did!  We have recently rerun the analysis to monitor the changing policy landscape as well as develop a script for other institutions to use.  We will be at IDCC 2017 to talk about updates.

Also this project from the University of Rochester (https://www.asist.org/publications/bulletin/aug-2015/building-outreach-on-assessment/ ) might be of interest -  it is focused on using journal policy research to develop programs to help researchers at a specific university.

Hi David,

I remember the University of Toronto had a poster at the IDCC 2015 conference on how they were exploring institutional RDM practice through compliance with journal data policies.

Hello David,

Maybe the findings of the JORD-project are also of interest for you: https://jordproject.wordpress.com/ .

In 2014, one of our projects also analysed the data policies of journals in economics and business administration.

A document that includes the wording of 49 data availability policies and 22 ‘author responsibility policies’ is available here: http://www.edawax.de/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Data-Policies_mit-Links.pdf

These two publications discuss the findings of our studies:

Best,

Sven

Hello all – I’m looking to find out more about the impact of journal data policies on institutions (academics and research support staff), and to help I’m running a short workshop later this month.

https://researchdata.jiscinvolve.org/wp/2017/01/16/making-sense-journal-data-policies/

It’s invite only, but I’ve a few spaces if you’d like to come along.

Best wishes

David
