It’s that time of year again and we’re searching for science communicators for the Science Festival in April (we’re also recruiting for a couple of other roles as well). Please see details of all our current vacancies and how to apply below:

 

Science Communicators, Temporary

Edinburgh International Science Festival (1 April – 16 April 2017)

£8.25 - £9.25 per hour

 

Role information: We are seeking Communicators for our annual festival.  The role involves interacting with children and young people, taking them through exciting events in our fun-filled festival venues, primarily The City Arts Centre in central Edinburgh. We are also looking for communicators to be based in the National Museum of Scotland, The Mound and Summerhall. 

Training Dates are Saturday 25 March and Wednesday 29 March.  Possible extra training date on Tuesday 28 March tbc.  Delivery Dates are 1 April – 16 April 2017 (you must be available for all dates). 

Closing Date:       Sunday 29 January 2017 at 11:59PM

Interviews:          Monday 6 February – Wednesday 15 February 2017

Assistant Staff Managers, Temporary

Edinburgh International Science Festival (1 April – 16 April 2017)

£10 per hour

 

Role information: We are looking for experienced, friendly, confident people with a calm approach to team management, who will enjoy working in a fast-paced, busy environment with a dynamic group of staff, including Front of House, and Science Communicators.

 

Please note that you should have flexible availability and should expect to work throughout the Festival run.  Shifts may be allocated at more than one venue and will include weekend/evening work.

 

Closing Date      Friday 13 January 2017 at 10AM

Interviews:        Thursday 19 January 2017

Development Manager, Permanent

Edinburgh

Circa £30-£36K (depending on experience) plus Benefits

Role information: We are seeking a talented and experienced development professional to support development and delivery of an effective fundraising strategy to maximise and diversify our income.

Closing Date:       Tuesday 24 January 2017 at 11:59PM

Interviews:          Wednesday 1 February 2017
