Studio Officer (SO-0117)

Contract - Fixed term 12 month contract
Hours - Full time, 37.5 hours a week including some evening and weekend work
Salary - £21,000 - £23,000 per annum

Together, five Live Science Officers develop and lead delivery of the Live Science programme across At-Bristol's six staff-facilitated programming spaces. This busy role will include training of the delivery team, involvement of volunteers, maintaining general responsibility for the function of the spaces and contributing to communications and strategic planning in relation to the programme.

This role has responsibility for At-Bristol's Studio, a theatre style delivery space that welcomes a variety of audiences, including families and schools.  The Studio hosts presenter-led group experiences principally in the form of science shows, using props, demonstrations and audience participation.

Key to the success of this role is not only the development of high quality, innovative content for the Studio space, but also operational planning and management of the space including the day to day logistics and management of props and equipment.

This role is also responsible for developing content for At-Bristol's Special Events including the After Hours adult programme, Toddler Takeovers, Outreach and other projects-including externally funded.
