We are looking for a freelance science explainer for our busy half-term programme at Cutty Sark in Greenwich.

The explainer will be required to deliver short talks and demonstrations that communicate how sailing ships move, how sailors find their way at sea, the impact of the weather and staying afloat. The activities will be aimed at a family audience, with children mainly in the primary school age-range.

The explainer will work alongside the Cutty Sark learning team as well as our freelance artists who will be delivering big build and make and take activities during this period.

If you are a science graduate with energy, enthusiasm and an ability to communicate to a family audience in an informal setting we would love to hear from you. Please send your CV and covering letter to Tracey Weller, Learning Manager. [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>

This opportunity is idea for anyone with a passion for communicating science to a young audience and would like the opportunity to work alongside arts and humanities specialists at a unique heritage setting.

Cutty Sark is a part of Royal Museums Greenwich.
