Dear All,

Roots 13.1 Sharing Science, which focuses on science communication in
botanic gardens and related organisations in now available open access
on BGCI's
website
<https://www.bgci.org/index.php?option=com_content&id=0337&status=published>
.

In addition, We are currently looking for articles, reviews and more for
the next issue of Roots. In Roots 14.1 we will be discussing how to engage
young people aged 13 to 18. Please get in touch if you would like to share
how your organisation has managed to engage this often hard-to-reach group.

We want to hear from *botanic gardens, museums and other outdoor learning
sites* who have projects they would like to share, as well as *researchers*
whose work can enhance our understanding of how to engage this age group.

Finally, we are also looking for a *profile of an inspirational educator*.
Do you have a young intern or volunteer working in public engagement who
you would like to celebrate? Now is your chance!

Email [log in to unmask] for more information, or send a 100 word
abstract by 1st February, 2017.

Roots is BGCI’s bi-annual journal on education in botanic gardens. It is
sent to over 1,000 recipients representing our global membership and is
also available through our website, open access, 6 months after
publication. https://www.bgci.org/public-engagement/roots/

Best wishes,

Liliana
