Dear colleagues,
Whilst evaluating a STEM outreach project we have some results which seem to suggest pupils from less socio-economically deprived backgrounds feel they have
'ownership' over their own education and career aspirations, whilst those from more socio-economically deprived backgrounds see education and career choice as something that just happens
to them. Is anyone aware of similar findings in the literature, or theorising on this area?
With thanks in advance for any pointers.
Kind regards,
