We do not do this as our area is also clinical. However for people with mental health issues we often recommend https://www.borrowmydoggy.com/  - its great for people who need an excuse to get out and about but for whatever reason cannot sustain a dog in their home

Incidentally I personally am allergic to dogs -need to take antihistamine or I get a nasty rash and suspect that other folk have allergy issues as well? That does not mean I have never had dogs because I have -just need to manage my exposure but maybe a whole lot of issues you would not have time to deal with at work?

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Therapy dogs
 
Hi all
Just wondered what your views are on the use of a therapy dog in an
occupational health department, I am currently training a 4 month old puppy
for this, positive results from management, unions and employees so far .
The perception (and hope) is that he will be a calming influence when
employees are stressed or have mental health issues.
To date he is loving the attention and just plays or sleeps under my desk
when I'm busy.
Does anyone else use this approach?
