Send your Submission of proposals (in abstract form) for EVA London 2017  and the Call for Proposals available through Easychair and Wiki CFP.

Proposals may be for a paper, a paper with demo, a demonstration, a workshop, an exhibition, or a panel discussion. Your proposal must be submitted via the EasyChair website: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=evalondon2017

Please note the following:

  • Your proposal should come under one of the conference themes.
(EVA London’s Conference themes include new and emerging technologies and applications in the following themes (to be broadly interpreted):

    • Virtual Worlds and Video Game Art )
  • Please submit only a summary proposal, up to one page (400 words) for selection.
  • The main deadline for proposals is Monday 16th January 2017.
  • The deadline for research workshop proposals is Friday 17th March 2017.
  • Authors of proposals selected for EVA London are invited to submit a paper for publication. Papers are peer reviewed and may be edited for publication as hard copy and online. Other presentations may be published as summaries or as papers. Please see the Author section for instructions.

There is a reduced registration rate if you are presenting. A few bursaries for EVA London registration fees will also be available if you don’t have access to grants. This will be announced in Spring 2017. Please note that bursaries would cover the registration fees only; we cannot offer assistance with travel or accommodation costs.

We regret that EVA cannot supply letters of invitation or support.

Papers

Papers will be presented in 20-minute slots (either in plenary sessions or in parallel) and be associated with a publication of up to 8 pages in the proceedings.

Demonstrations

Demonstrations will be formally timetabled normally in parallel with other sessions, in 20-minute slots. Proposals are invited and should be submitted in outline as for papers, above. However, we will not expect detailed demo requirements until nearer the conference, to allow time for development. For publication you will be able to offer either a 2-page summary describing the demo in association with a formal 8-page paper and presentation.

Panel sessions and workshops

Proposals for panel sessions or workshops are welcome.

A panel session would consist of two or more panel members who each make brief presentations or statements, followed by discussion with the audience. We will look for panel sessions to be of wide interest and to stimulate and engage the audience, since most delegates are interested and often expert in using and exploring technologies.

A workshop should be a practical tutorial and would normally be delivered in one or two 90-minute sessions.
