Could anyone help me with bibliography on forms of participation in decision-making in the medieval period (13th century and earlier)? I'm thinking especially of capitular decisions in monastic and mendicant communities, but other procedures would also be of interest, e.g. the election of church officials, nomination of bishops, etc.
